I Saw An Angel

I wrote this poem on the Anniversary of September 11, I thought about all the people that died that day, but wondered why some people didn't....were their Angels with them that day, did God have a message for them to pass on to us all...perhaps in all that devastation we needed Hope ?

I know I saw an Angel
That sad and fateful day
I know I heard her whisper
Telling me to walk her way

She held her hand out to me
Perhaps it's all a dream
Silence all around me but
I still heard people scream

I don’t know why she chose me
I don’t quite understand
Why other people round me
Didn't get to hold her hand

She told me I was special
And I had some work to do
She said I have a message
That I need to share with you

She took me to a wondrous
Place with beauty all around
My feet were floating in the air
Not stepping on the ground

The sun was shinning brightly
There were flowers everywhere
I don’t think I have ever seen
A site I could compare

I asked if I could stay there
But she said I had to go
My help on earth was needed
To let the people know

Angels walk beside us
They protect us everyday
Only God can tell our Angels
If we should come or stay

There is nothing to be scared off
So please don’t shed a tear
Your Angels is always with you
There is nothing you should fear

God gave you life for living
He hope’s you understand
Why he sent a Guardian Angel
And she offered you her hand
