Vikki & The Sunshine

I wrote this Poem for a little girl who
used to live next door to me her
name was Vikki. She read one of my poems
and thought I was Famous,I just had to write one especially for her.

I went outside to see the sun
Oh what a lovely day
But when I looked in to the sky
The sun had gone away

He told me he would be here
He promised me he would
Perhaps I got the day wrong
Or I just misunderstood

I know I'll get a ladder
I'll climb up to the sky
knock upon that great big
Cloud and ask the reason why

That might be rather tricky
Said a voice from down below
I heard he's out with Vikki
And she's dancing all a glow

The sun is out with Vikki
I answered in surprise!!
He told me he would be here
You say he's telling lies

I saw him walk beside her
She skipped in her bare feet
She looked just like a princess
She danced around the street

I'm sorry said the Ladybird
I thought that you should know
When Vikki danced around the street
The sun shone down below

Perhaps he's only playing
perhaps he'll be back soon
I mean its only morning
He might come back at noon

Thank you little ladybird
Please have a lovely day
I'll just go back inside the house
And not go out to play

The sun can stay with Vikki
He'll get fed up of her soon
And I don't care about him now
Cause I'm going out with Moon
