This poem is about a Chronic Pain Condition which my youngest daughter has, she was diagnosed in 2002 at the age of 15 with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) Very few doctors know about this condition which causes the nerve signals to go out of control and leave the person in constant pain.
I sit in my chair
There's a tear in my eye
Just watching the rest
Of the world go on bye
Questions unanswered
Stuff about me..
why God I ask do I have
R.S.D.
Friends come and go
Do they really know me
Do I scare them away
Because I have R.S.D
My bodies so painful
I'm screaming inside
I don't want to play
I just want to hide
I wont let it beat me
This thing R.S.D
I'm not going to sit here
While it bullies me
I'm taking control
wipe a tear from my eye
I know some day soon
That God will reply
My family all tell me
I'm special you see
They don't treat me different
Because I have R.S.D
God if your listening
This thing R.S.D
I now know the reason
Why you've chosen me

My gosh, that sounds so awful. I hope there are effective treatments for your daughter.
