True Love

I wrote this poem for a lady in the RSD support group, She had asked me if I could write a poem for her daughter who was soon to be married to a young man with this chronic pain condition.The picture below however is my daughter Natalie and her partner dancing on the night of their engagement I used this photo because they look so much in love.

Words could not do justice
To the way I feel inside
when I watch the two of you
My heart swells up with pride

The gentle way you touch her
or kiss her on the cheek
The way she hugs you tenderly
Tells me this Loves for keeps

Sarting out together
on a journey thats unknown
living life together
To make a house a home

Good times and the bad times
I know you will get through
Because love can conquer anything
That life may throw at you

Sharing all your troubles
And dealing with the pain
Being there for each other
In wind or snow or rain

Then when the sun comes
shinning through
You greet the day together
I know inside my heart of hearts
This love will last FOREVER
