I wrote this poem for my heart Failure Nurse at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary her name is
Maureen O'Donald and she did a great job looking after me and helping me understand my condition.
Thank You Maureen.

If you feel a little anxious
There's a person close at hand
Make a phone call to the heart nurse
who will help you understand
I know at times it's scary
When your not sure what to do
But your heart nurse has the answers
To the questions bothering you
They can help with medication
And a sympathetic ear
They are always there to listen
And alleviate your fear
with a sensible new diet
And the right amount of sleep
Making sure your body's rested
With the right amount to eat
To keep track of your progress
You must weigh yourself each day
And maybe do the smartest thing
Throw cigarettes away
Try some gentle exercise
You might like what you find
You may not have the strongest heart
but you'll have a stronger mind.
